The business sources fabric, associated trims, finished goods and services from external businesses both in the UK and overseas and these make up the supply chain within Wearwell (UK) Limited.
As part of our due diligence processes into slavery and human trafficking the supplier approval will incorporate a view of controls undertaken by the supplier and may include independent auditing by an accredited third party. We will aim to:-
All new employees are subject to pre-employment checks to establish their identity and right to work in the UK. New employees are given an Induction into the Company and its policies and procedures along with details of their statutory rights. All directly employed labour is paid at least the wage set by the government. Agency staff are paid in accordance with current regulations.
The Directors and Senior Management shall take responsibility for implementing this policy statement and its objectives. Appropriate resources, including training, shall be provided to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within the business or its supply chain.
We recognise the need to drive out slavery and human trafficking within businesses and will look to review our practices on a regular basis to ensure our objectives are being met.
